Horrible app

I prefer to use the Apple TV app. It asks me to re-auth nearly every week. There is no skip ahead or skip back when watching shows, only pause and skim/scrub over the video. Skimming over video feels like performing surgery with oven mitts on. When moving left or right in the nav menu item, it only moves one item at a time. This means to move 3 to the right, you have to swipe 3 times. Every other app on Apple TV only requires one swipe to move across multiple items. To the developers of this app, please use basic and common UX/UI conventions. All these little issues along with others I havent mentioned make me dread having to watch shows on TBS developed software. Based on the long continued lack of attention to detail, the take away from using this app is essentially: "TBS hates their viewers."

Poor app. Slow and unresponsive

Whoever holds the contract with TBS for this mobile app should be replaced. This is hardly a commercial for their competence. Truly one of the slowest and least responsive apps I have used to date. Dont bother downloading it until the next update.

Atrocious app needs major improvements

Ive never written a review for an app in my life but this one is so incredibly terrible that Im writing in the hope it will be fixed, it is useless and so is the tbs website I cant watch anything on it

Delete and reinstall at least once a week.

Good, Bad, Good, Now Bad Again

I have never edited a review so often but this app requires it. Nothing is perfect, and there is always annoying glitches in all apps, BUT this TBS app is proving to be unreliable. Just when they fix a problem, they somehow create another one. I can stream via cellular again, but now I cant mirror it to Apple TV! After a couples seconds the screen goes black and all you get is audio! Oh and somehow the video miraculously comes back on for the commercials, gee like we are stupid, COME ON TBS Im sure you can correct these issues. FYI I have tried several times for a few days, its not me, its the app. Sorry but down to 2 stars until fixed. Please stop this roller coaster of glitches and create an app thats usable and enjoyable.

Dont let positive reviews trick you

This app is potentially the WORST app I have ever had the chance to download. Random crashes, lack of updates, no AirPlay support for video, very limited content, eyesore UI, over abundance of ads (2:1, almost!), the list could go on for paragraphs. I rarely review, let alone leave a negative one, but wow. You must have had to put in effort for this app to be this bad. Edit: and heres a new one, every time you install an update you need to sign in again. SCORE. not.

Doesnt work on tv anymore

It worked great till this week. I plugged it into the tv via hdmi and as soon as the show starts the picture goes black. I can hear the show but there longer a pic. Totally worthless to me now unless its fixed.

Dont support their terrible product

I havent even downloaded the app yet and I already hate it. I never write reviews but this is not ok. I tried to use their website, which is also awful, and was forced to download their app. Which I did. It started to download so I went off to do something else while it did. Only to come back to have to start all over. Twice. I love some of their shows, but no way Im supporting their terrible products. This is why illegal downloads are still a problem, and they wonder why. If I cant use their site (which says I should be able to watch a full episode but when I click on it...thats a whole other can of worms) or even download their app, then whats the point? Save yourself the time and headache.

Buggy

I wish the app on my iPad or Fire TV wasnt so buggy. Its exhausting waiting for it to load, then it will just randomly shut down. Gotta eat King of Queens, so I put up with it!

Pretty terrible as far as TV apps go

Videos lag and freeze incessantly, regardless of whether Im on data or wifi at my work or home. Forces you to watch a ton of commercials and doesnt give you clear controls to move between parts of a show.

So many ads

So every time you open this app you have to sit through a time delayed slide show of whatever TBS is promoting. Then when you watch a show theyre inserting more ads than you would see on regular TV and of course theyre basically the same 4 ads repeating over and over again to make it even more annoying.

No TBS with Spectrum

This app doesnt work with TWC/Spectrum. They dont have a login for the service. Said maybe around end of year. Thanks Spectrum.

Chromecast! Equalized sound! No freezing!

All credit where credit is due: they listened to complaints and delivered in a big way. This update is GREAT, thank you!

Worst TV Station App Available

I have used just about every TV app available, and none are as bad as this. It takes forever to load, and then once loaded does not give a clear option to sign in. Instead, it allows you to start streaming/casting your show only to show a giant banner that says youre watching a preview and need to sign in. Then, when you try to sign in, rarely are you able to do it without the entire app crashing four times first. If you try to sign in first before playing anything, you get an error message and must reload the whole app before you can even get to the sign-in screen. Seriously, this is as poorly designed as it is buggy.

Great TV (Again)

I retract my 2nd review. The matter of streaming over cellular is back, or should I say, you now can choose how you stream. THANK YOU TBS!! So the app is great again, and I can get my daily dose of stress relieving comedies. There are many good shows, but I do wish more episodes/seasons were available, live streaming can be quirky, but overall this is a great App! The only irk I have is having to wait while shots of popular shows appear before you can access the home page.

Not friendly with voiceover.

Updating my review below, this is the third update, for this app, and it is still completely in accessible with voiceover. Very little of this app can be accessed with voice over,therefore it is of no use for someone with visual impairment.

just horrible...never works.....

Horrible.... 1/2 star using apple tv 4gen. Every other day have to log in with provider movies never play and live tv works for 30 or 40 minutes max. Horrible service.... Latest message "Sorry, we are having trouble playing the video right now." Fortunately they cant blame the internet provider because every tv app works great even Hulu... they should copy FXnow and Foxnow they always work great. Still signing and app taking for ever to load. No difference at all still horrible.
